Raw food has become more popular over the last few years for it’s well researched health benefits. Raw chocolate especially seems to become almost mainstream. If you ever get a chance to visit any vegan/veggie fayres you will see a huge range of vegan chocolate, power balls, bars etc on offer. Many can be made without specialised equipment like dehydraters or power blenders.With the recipes on this page you really only need a food processor.



1 cup nut butter

2 cups porridge oats

1/2 cup almonds  ( roughly chopped )

1/3 cup coconut oil

1/3 cup maple syrup

1/2 cup chocolate

1/2 TSP salt

  1. Line an 8″ baking tin with greaseproof paper so it overhangs the sides of tin
  2. melt nut butter, maple syrup and coconut oil in saucepan
  3. stir for about 5 MINS, then add rest of ingredients and mix in
  4. take off heat and pour into tin, press into sides
  5. put in fridge for 2-3 HRS then cut into pieces

store in the fridge in a tin or plastic container.



1/2 cup almonds  ( unsalted)

1/2 cup cashews   ( unsalted )

1/2 cup cranberries

1 cup pitted dates

3/4 cup desiccated coconut

3 TBS coconut oil

  1. put nuts, cranberries and dates into a food processor pulse until small pieces
  2. add coconut oil, pulse then add desiccated coconut and pulse again
  3. shape into bars, then store in plastic container in fridge
